Join us on this unique day trip to taste some of the wonderful award winning beverages Somerset has on offer, wine, cider and brandy! Don’t forget to bring a picnic!

Lets start by ambling through Somerset’s award winning Oately vineyard near Cannington where Iain and Jane we will take us through the wonders of the vineyard whilst sipping on their wines. You’ll see why they win awards from the top competitions of Decanter and International Wine Challenge for the past 20 years.

After our tour and deciding which wine you like, you’ll have the opportunity to buy a bottle if you wish to go with your picnic. Either sit under the shade of the gazebo or find the tables and chairs around the vineyard for a really sense of relaxation and peace.

Once happy, relaxed and content we ease back on the mini bus to visit the Somerset Cider Brandy company. This evokes all the magic and mystery of the West Country’s proud cider making and apple growing tradition. They have now been awarded PGI status which is the legal protection from the EU protecting the production of their brandy.

It really is a step back in time and is still very much a working farm with all the traditional styles of cider. You’ll have the unique opportunity to see where the distillation happens to turn cider into brandy, and of course a taste or two of the award winning products!

Due to limited access to these places we can only take a mini bus which limits availability. If you do wish to join us on this Taster Trail of Somerset then please call 01934 853574 to book your place.
