Meet Luke from Sutton Ridge Vineyard Saturday 5th December

Sutton Ridge VineyardLuke and family

Saturday 5th December

10.00 3.00pm

50 years after Luke’s grandfather purchased Sutton Farm near Butcombe, he combined his passion for wine with the family tradition of working the land and established Sutton Ridge Vineyard. Since the vineyard was planted in April 2011 when Luke was aged just 24, he has ably assisted by four generations of the family.

The vineyard is sited on sloping, south-east facing 2 acre site overlooking Blagdon Lake in Somerset’s beautiful Yeo Valley. The vineyards south easterly orientation maximises the amount of sunlight reaching the vines and is sheltered from the prevailing south westerly winds creating ideal growing conditions.

All vineyard work is undertaken by hand with care and devotion, ensuring only the highest quality fruit is produced for our decidedly moreish English still and sparkling wines. The wines are produced in very low volumes which is why every bottle is individually numbered.
