The following six white wines and six red wines are selected by us for you to sit back and enjoy with friends and food. The 13th wine is selected by you from the list below giving you an extra bottle making a bakers dozen
Monte Schiavo Ruviano Verdicchio Classico, Italy
Verdicchio grape from the Marche region in Italy. Delicate apricot and orchard fruit aromas with a hint of white flower and and citrus. The palate has minerality and texture with ripe stone fruit characters, refreshing lemon citrus acidity.
False Bay Chenin Blanc, South Africa
Ripe apple aromas, honeyed aromatics, greengage and citrus lemon acidity on the long finish. Wine with great finesse and style. Perfect match with a variety of summer dishes or enjoy on its own after a hard day’s work!
Maison de Vigneron Blanc, Pays des Côtes de Gascogne, France
Deliciously fresh wine with a very aromatic nose; zesty citrus and hints of stone fruit. The palate has lots of soft nectarine fruit and pink grapefruit balanced with a refreshing lime acidity. Immensely enjoyable and fresh!
Cape Heights Viognier, South Africa
A powerful palate packed with jasmine and white spice, this is tight, focused, an almost crunchy Viognier with all the classic varietal flavours, peach stone fruit and a lovely long length and freshness.
Pasquiers Sauvignon V, Pays d’Oc, France
This wine blends aromatic Sauvignon with Vermentino giving a tangy, more complete flavour. The luscious exotic fruit aromas from the Vermentino are balanced by the clean, zingy fruit of Sauvignon, resulting in a wonderfully aromatic smooth dry white.
Ca di Ponti Grillo, Sicily
Fantastic wine from Sicily, using the native grape of Grillo. Fresh zesty
wine that has a rich mouth feel of melon, apple with slight spice to it.
The Rambler, Italy
This is a fantastic approachable red wine made with the Barbera grape. The grapes are sourced form the Piemonte region in northern Italy. Soft lush brambly fruits with gentle tannins and a rounded finish.
False Bay Pinotage, South Africa
Great value and one of South African best varieties. Great wine with beef and bbq with a heady mix of fruit, rich chocolate and plums supported by soft tannins.
Les Volets Malbec, Pays de la Haute Vallée de l’Aude
The first notes on the nose are of crushed blueberries which then develop on to reveal an intriguing rich crème de cassis with a touch of underlying parma violets. Fine red-fruits fill the mouth; raspberries and a touch of dark chocolate truffle.
Ca di Ponti Nero d’Avola, Sicily
Captures the sunshine with soft tannins and lots of juicy ripe fruits with red and black cherries.
Pasquiers Grenache Noir, Pays d’Oc, France
The black Grenache from the deep South of France is steeped in texture and character. Rich black fruit and sweet spice on the nose with more intense berry fruit and liquorice on the palate.
Sierra Grande Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile
Bursting with red and blackcurrant fruits, this is a really soft and pure Cabernet with gentle tannins and a hint of green pepper on the finish. Cool herby flavours mingle with red fruits and a nice touch of acidity.
